DESCRIPTION:CASA COLINA FOUNDATION TO HOST “AN EVENING IN CASABLANCA”\nFUNDRAISING GALA TO BENEFIT CHILDREN’S SERVICES\n\nOctober 16\, 2012…Pomona\, CA – Casa Colina Foundation will host “An Evening in Casablanca” on Friday\, October 26\, 2012 at Padua Hills Theatre in Claremont\, CA.  Proceeds from the event will benefit Casa Colina Children’s Services\, which provides physical rehabilitation services for children with acquired and developmental disabilities\, including autism\, cerebral palsy\, Down syndrome\, and more.  \n\nIncorporating many themes from the beloved 1940s celluloid classic\, An Evening in Casablanca will be a night of casino gambling\, auctions\, and live entertainment. Auction opportunities will include a private dinner with legendary performer Dick Van Dyke and a Las Vegas weekend getaway.\n\nThe evening’s festivities will pay tribute to honorees Mark Woodsmall of Woodsmall Law Group in Pasadena\, who will receive the National Ambassador Award\; while Adel Sayegh\, President & CEO of Universal Surveillance Systems in Rancho Cucamonga\, will be given the Friend of the Children Award.\n\n“We are grateful to both Mark Woodsmall and Adel Sayegh for their consistent commitment to our Children’s Services and to this community\,” commented Dr. Felice L. Loverso\, President and CEO of Casa Colina.  “It is our pleasure to honor them for helping families with special needs children obtain the care and support that they need.”\n\nCasa Colina Foundation provides over $150\,000 in treatment and visit subsidies each year to Children’s Services.  Proceeds from An Evening in Casablanca will go directly to supporting this cause.  \n\nIndividual tickets are $150 and sponsorship packages are also available.  For more information\, please visit  HYPERLINK "http://www.casacolina.org" www.casacolina.org.\n\nAbout Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation\n\nCasa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation was founded in 1936 in Chino\, CA under the leadership of Frances Eleanor “Mother” Smith and other community leaders and physicians to provide rehabilitative care to children with polio. In the early 1950s when polio was at epidemic proportions\, a plan was developed to build a new hospital in nearby Pomona\, CA. In 1959\, the new hospital was completed and Casa Colina expanded its medical and physical rehabilitation services to concentrate on treating people of all ages and disabilities resulting from neurological and/or orthopedic conditions. In recent years\, Casa Colina has renovated its entire 20-acre Pomona campus to include a state-of-the-art acute rehabilitation hospital\, outpatient center\, post-acute residential rehabilitation center\, children’s services\, adult day health care\, specialized physician’s clinics\, diagnostic imaging\, ambulatory surgery center\, outdoor recreation program\, and other highly specialized services. A Medical Office Building is currently being constructed on the campus with a scheduled opening of January 2013. Plans are also underway to begin construction of a 31-bed medical surgical hospital addition in early 2013.
