DESCRIPTION:The 3rd Annual Veterans Forum\nSaturday\, July 26\, 2014\nFact Sheet\n1. The 3rd Annual Veterans Forum is a must-attend for veterans and their families who have pending cases with the Veterans Administration Region Office (VARO). It will afford veterans the opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives of the VARO to receive a status update on their case\; and have the opportunity to file their first time claim.\n2. Representatives from the VA Long Beach Healthcare System (VA Hospital) will also be in attendance to address your questions and concerns regarding your pending consult. You will also have the opportunity to sign-up for your VA Identification Card and receive a health exam.\n3. There will also be four breakout sessions dealing with topics of importance to veterans: (1) Mental Health (2) Women Warriors (3) Education and Financial Planning (4) Homeless Veterans. The breakout sessions will be conducted by experts in each field and each session will afford veterans the opportunity to get answers to their questions.\n4. Here’s how you can help – First and foremost\, be there to get the information first hand. Secondly\, distribute the flyer to your veterans’ network\, family\, and friends.
