NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Glendora will host a Town Hall meeting about Senate Bill (SB) 54 (De Leon), Law Enforcement: Sharing Data, on Thursday, October 11, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., in the Bidwell Forum at the Glendora Public Library. The City invites the community to engage with a non-partisan panel - the goal of the Town Hall meeting is to educate and inform participants on the requirements, challenges and opportunities that SB 54 presents to local agencies.
The guest panel will include:
William Wynder, Appointed Contract City Attorney, City of Glendora
Mr. Wynder, will provide an overview of the SB 54 law and status of lawsuits, court rulings, etc. between the State of California and the Federal Government.
Anita Lee, Principal Fiscal & Policy Analyst, State of California’s Legislative Analyst’s Office (LAO)
Ms. Lee will provide insight into the State of California’s analysis of the SB 54 law.
Eddie Rivero, Assistant Sheriff, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department
Mr. Rivero will provide information on how the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department works with local agencies to implement SB 54.
Guests of the Town Hall meeting will have the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification about SB 54.
